Indigo Salt

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Indigo Salt collects through indigo-salt.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. We collect as little as we need and we never sell personal data.

Who we are

Indigo Salt ("we", "us") is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Indigo Salt is registered in Sweden and operates internationally, with a base in the United Arab Emirates.

Sweden: Indigo Salt, c/o Minc, Anckargripsgatan 3, 211 19 Malmö, Sweden. United Arab Emirates: Vizalore FZE, Business Centre, Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone, Sharjah.

For any privacy question or request, email contact@indigo-salt.com.

What we collect and why

Enquiry forms (Contact, About, For Business and Products pages): your name and email address, and anything else you choose to share, such as your company, country or market, website, business experience and your message. We use this only to read and answer your enquiry and to discuss a possible business relationship. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a possible agreement, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

Newsletter sign-up: your email address, used only to send occasional Indigo Salt news, product updates and announcements. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by asking us or using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.

Analytics, only if you click Accept on the cookie banner: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity measure how visitors use the site, for example which pages are visited, how far people scroll and where they click, so we can improve it. These tools use cookies and similar technologies and process data such as your IP address, device and browser information, and approximate location. Legal basis: your consent. If you click Decline, these tools are not loaded.

Journal comments: the name or handle you choose and your comment. We review every comment before it is published and show only the name and comment publicly, with its date. Legal basis: your consent, given by posting. We do not store your IP address with the comment; it is held briefly in memory only to limit abuse.

Technical data: like any website, our hosting servers process your IP address and basic request details in order to deliver pages securely. These logs are kept for a short time for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

We store your cookie choice in your browser (as "indigo-cookie-consent") so we do not ask again on every visit. This is necessary for the site to respect your choice.

Analytics cookies from Google Analytics (names beginning with _ga) and Microsoft Clarity (such as _clck and _clsk) are only set after you click Accept. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the cookie banner back.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website, each acting on our instructions: Hetzner Online (website hosting, Germany), Resend (delivery of form messages to our inbox), our business email provider, Google (Google Analytics) and Microsoft (Clarity). We do not sell or rent personal data and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.

Some providers may process data outside the EU and the United Arab Emirates, for example in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep data

Enquiries: for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting business relationship, and normally no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless we must keep records longer by law.

Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.

Journal comments: until you ask us to remove them, or until we remove them under our comment guidelines.

Analytics: according to the retention settings of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, which we keep to the shortest practical period.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or object to how we use it, and ask for your data in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what we did before.

To use any of these rights, email contact@indigo-salt.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are in the EU, you can also complain to a data protection authority. In Sweden this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), imy.se. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access to our systems and inbox is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data.

Children

Our website is intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website or services change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
